Bedworth Heath Nursery School and Warwickshire Early Years Hub

Early Years settings, including our Nursery School are able to access additional funding to give further support to eligible children – this is known as Early Years Pupil Premium. We can claim this for children aged 3 or 4 years old whose parents are in receipt of at least one of the following:

• Income Support

• income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

• income-related Employment and Support Allowance

• support under part six of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

• the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

• Child Tax Credit (provided you are not also entitled to Working Tax Credit) and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190

• Working Tax Credit run-on, which is paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

• Universal Credit - your household income must be less than £7,400 a year after tax not including any benefits you get

 

Children may also be eligible if they are currently being looked after by a local authority in England or Wales or if they have left care in England or Wales through:

• adoption

• special guardianship order

• a child arrangements order

 

EYPP funding is used to support children’s learning and development. This will be informed by an understanding of the needs and preferences of individual children; It may include:

• additional resources and equipment

• access to new experiences

• preparation for starting school

• Training for staff, specific to the needs of individual children

 

At Bedworth Heath Nursery School we use our funding in different ways depending on the needs of individual children.
